POLICE: Theft charge pending against Humane Society of Wicomico County director

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says one count of felony theft is pending against Aaron Balsamo, the former director of the Humane Society of Wicomico County.

Balsamo was placed on administrative leave back in August. Police announced an active investigation into Balsamo not soon after. Police were investigating the alleged misuse of a credit card belonging to the Humane Society to the tune of thousands of dollars.

To qualify for a felony theft charge, the theft has to be between $10,000 dollars and $100,000 dollars.
