Pet killed in late night trailer fire

MELFA, Va.– In Accomack County, several fire crews rushed to a home in Melfa Sunday night after it went up in flames, killing a family pet.

The Onancock Volunteer Fire Department posted pictures of the scene on Facebook. Five crews in total responded to a trailer fire on the 20,000 block of Michelle Circle scene just after 10 P.M.

Right now, there does not seem to be reports of an injuries.  However, fire officials say that they did rescue a pet and despite efforts to save it, it succumbed to its injuries.

It is unclear how the fire started at this time.
