Officials investigating fatal fire in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – Fire officials are investigating an overnight fire that claimed the life of one and sent two others to the hospital.
We’re told the fire broke out at a home in the 200 block of Louise Avenue shortly after 4 AM Friday.
More than 25 firefighters from the Salisbury Fire Department and mutual aid companies responded to the blaze, which reportedly took approximately 45 minutes to control.
A male and female occupant were able to escape the home and are currently being treated at PRMC for smoke inhalation. An adult male was found deceased inside of the home.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, however, investigators say the fire began in the first floor bedroom. Total fire damage is estimated at $65,000.
