Milton Community Food Pantry seeks help
MILTON, Del. – Volunteers at the Community Food Pantry are desperately looking for help.
They have run out of equipment and space to help serve thousands of families in need.
The Board President of the pantry said ever since the Eagle’s Nest closed its pantry in Milton the number of people they are serving has nearly tripled. That is why they are seeking a new building to keep up with these changes.
They are also looking for a new refrigerator as well as more volunteers to help pick up food items.
“Last year there was another food pantry that closed so we got a lot of those clients, which increased the amount of people that we’re feeding now, which makes it a little more difficult to make sure we have enough food to go around,” said the Board President Barbara Wright.
The Milton Community Food Pantry will be hosting several events in the coming months like a Spaghetti Night that takes place on Saturday to get more funding.
