Mid-Shore Pro Bono offering free legal help to senior citizens

EASTON, Md. – Senior citizens  on the shore are getting free legal aide. Mid Shore Pro Bono is hosting a series of free clinics for older residents on the Eastern Shore to help them with a host of issues.

Issues like guardianship, consumer debt and social security fraud. The local aging population is growing and Mid Shore Pro Bono is trying to meet the needs of low income seniors.

They say within the last two years they’ve had over 1,100 cases with senior citizens alone.

“In the senior citizen population what we really want to do is provide them documents that are going to help them age better. Age at home and not fall victim to prey or scams or anything else because seniors are very vulnerable,” explains Sandy Brown, Mid Shore Pro Bono Executive Director.

These free clinics are happening all across the Eastern Shore throughout the month of February for not just senior citizens but other family and other matters as well.  The dates for their clinics are be up on their website.
