MAC Inc. to offer free tax assistance
SALISBURY, Md. – If you are having a hard time keeping up with all the new tax laws, we have good news. AARP and MAC Inc. in Salisbury are teaming up to provide free tax assistance up until April.
The people qualified for assistance are low and middle income tax payers, and anyone over the age of 60.
Trained volunteers will be working one-on-one with taxpayers to complete tax returns. The only catch is, this service is only for simple tax returns, not for complicated returns or business returns.
If you’re interested in getting some help all you have to do is call and make an appointment ahead of time.
Valerie Wagner, the Volunteer Coordinator at MAC Inc. said “It gives folks that are on tight budgets a place to go and not have to pay 100 to 125 dollars to have to go and get their taxes filled out…It helps folks peace of mind they don’t try to fill out those complex forms by themselves somebody that’s knowledgeable is filling them out.”
At MAC Inc., the tax preparation assistance will be available on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
To make an appointment you can call 410-742-0505 ext. 100.
