Jeter sinks game-winner to give Easton girls Bayside title
SALISBURY, Md.- With less than five seconds to go, Easton would turn to Myia Jeter to win the girls basketball Bayside title.
Jeter splashed a jumper as time expired to give the Warriors a 61-59 win over Bayside South champ Parkside on Tuesday night. Jeter finished the night with a game-high 25 points, 17 of them in the fourth-quarter and overtime.
For Parkside, they were led by Amanda Ballard with 20, and Jackie Wright with 13, which puts her seven points away from 1,000 in her career.
The Rams would jump out to a 10 point lead in the first half, but an Easton 8-0 run would make it a two-point game at halftime.
In the second half, Easton would have a chance to win it, with three seconds to go, but a layup would not fall, causing overtime.
Next up for both teams is the Maryland 2A playoffs, where you can see the bracket and matchups, here.
