Henson Family YMCA hosts final swim meet of year, prep for regionals
SALISBURY, Md.- Driving down South Schumaker Drive in Salisbury, you’ll know when there’s a swim meet at the YMCA.
You can hear the screams, and see the parking lot full; for good reason.
Saturday marked the final home meet of the season for the HFY Swim Team, hosting a half dozen local swim clubs in the USA Swimming sanctioned events. Members of the HFY “Platypi” swim team have qualified for national events around the country, such as nationals, junior nationals and regionals. The regional tournament is what most of the participants aim for, where they go to Virginia to compete.
