Garage fire results in $20k in damages
FRUITLAND, Md. – Officials say an evening garage fire in Fruitland has resulted in $20,000 in damages.
The fire was reported at around 8:40 PM Thursday, inside a detached garage on North Division Street in Fruitland. We’re told it took 20 firefighters approximately 25 minutes to control.
The Maryland’s State Fire Marshal’s Office investigated and determined that the fire was a result of a wood stove pipe failure. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
