First ever Black Business Expo to be held in Salisbury
SALISBURY, Md. – In Salisbury, the first ever Black Business Expo will be taking place this weekend. Event organizer, Amber Green says nearly 20 eastern shore black business owners and organizations will get together to promote economic growth while also stressing the importance supporting black businesses. She adds that this type of support is critical for the African American community to come and network with each other in order to help one another succeed in their businesses.
“I wanted to create a business expo but I also wanted to contribute to a community that I feel like we don’t see a lot of business owners which is the black community so I wanted to provide a space where we’re celebrating black business owners we’re celebrating black culture as well as just celebrating black young leaders,” said Green.
Green adds that the event will take place on Saturday February 9th from 1 -6 PM at the Hampton Inn and is free for anyone who would like to attend.
