Dover Police investigating church burglary

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say they are investigating after someone reportedly broke into the Wesley United Methodist Church early Friday morning.

Officials say that between 4:10 AM and 5 AM, a suspect entered the building through an unlocked door. The suspect then reportedly damaged a cabinet inside an office and stole an unknown amount of cash from a desk before fleeing the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7130 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Officials say a cash reward of up to $1,000 is possible for information leading to an arrest in this case.
