Crisfield High School nurse arrested on 19 sex offense charges
CRISFIELD, Md. – Maryland State Police have arrested a Somerset County woman after she allegedly had inappropriate relations with four high school students while working as a school nurse.
Officials say 33-year-old Samantha Marsh, of Crisfield, is facing ten counts of fourth degree sex offense, four counts of perverted practice, four counts of contributing to the condition of a child and one count of attempted fourth degree sex offense.
MSP began their investigation into the reported incidents on Monday, and according to a preliminary investigation, the alleged offenses took place between March 2018 and January 2019. All victims are believed to be students at Crisfield High School & Academy, where Marsh, a wife and mother of three, was working as a school nurse, however, none of the alleged activity happened on school grounds. Officials believe that Marsh picked up the students in her van from various locations off school property and took them to other locations, where the offenses occurred.
According to court documents obtained by 47ABC, Marsh confessed to having oral sex with three of the four victims.
47ABC reached out to the Somerset County School District for comment. They said, “This is a personnel matter. This is a confidential matter. The employee has been placed on administrative leave.”
We’re told Marsh had previously been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
We have been working to find out when Marsh was hired and how long she’s been a nurse at the high school, but so far we have not been given that information.
The court decided to hold Marsh without bail following a bond review on Thursday. Her trial is currently set for March 13th.
