Crabbers finish regular season with win; sweep Parkside on the year
SALISBURY, Md.- Behind Justin Cohen’s game high 16 points along with 12 from Cortrey Fontain and Christian Crawford, the Crabbers move to 21-2 with the 66-59 win over Parkside. The Rams move to 11-11 on the season.
With first place in the Bayside South on the line, the Crabbers needed to close out the season with a win to keep pace with WiHi. The Crabbers opened up the game off the opening tip off with a two handed slam from Christian Crawford. Crisfield took a 33-19 lead into the halftime break. Justin Cohen led all scorers at the half with 9 points while Marcus Yarns led the charge for the Rams with 8.
Parkside would turn it on in the second half cutting the lead to just 8 late in the fourth. Parkside senior Quamier Snell led the charge with 13 points along with 8 points from Marcus Yarns. With under two minutes to play fouls and turnovers would prove to be too much for the Rams as Crisfield holds off the Parkside for the regular season finale victory.
Crisfield’s Justin Cohen and led all scorers with 16 points while Cortrey Fontain and Christian Crawford pitched in 12 points.
Marcus Yarns led the Rams with 16 points and Quamier Snell added on 13 of his own.
While Crisfield and WiHi are still tied for the South title, the conference will be decided by a coin flip. The flip will be tomorrow morning, Friday the 21st. The winner of the coin flip will play Easton for the Bayside title.
