City of Cambridge to hold neighborhood revitalization plan update Tuesday

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – City officials in Cambridge are gearing up for the next phase in revitalizing the historic downtown district.  For the past couple of months the city has been asking residents and getting feedback on what they would like to see for the future of the area.Officials say since then they’ve narrowed it down to two major issues they feel the community wants to be addressed: quality affordable housing and street improvements. Next week they’ll be holding a meeting for the public to attend so they can prioritize these issues.

“One of the things that we’re seeing is that Cambridge is growing. And so, the key now is were growing, how do we want to grow so we need to make sure that as a community we are shaping what we want that growth to look like,” said housing specialist Yvone Robinson.

Robinson adds that the meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 26th at 5:30 PM at The Empowerment Center.
