Structure fire in Talbot Co. causes $200k in damages
BOZMAN, Md. – Fire officials say a fire that broke out early Monday afternoon in Talbot County has caused $200,000 in damages.
We’re told the fire was reported by a family member at around noon, in a 30 x 60 metal pole building located at 7961 Bozman Neavitt Road. The St. Michaels Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze, which took a total of 63 firefighters just over an hour to control.
A firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center, and was later released.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal is still investigating the cause of the fire, however, they say the fire began in the rear of the building.
