State Fire Marshals investigating early morning house fire in Talbot Co.

BOZMAN, Md. – The Maryland State Fire Marshals Office says they are investigating a two alarm house fire that broke out early Thursday morning.

Fire officials from the St. Michaels Volunteer Fire Department responded to a home located at 7889 Quaker Neck Road at around 2:15 AM. We’re told it took 65 firefighters approximately two hours and 30 minutes to control the blaze.

The homeowner and his dog were able to safely exit the home, and no injures were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, however, fire officials were able to determine that the fire began in an attached workshop. Total fire damage has been estimated at $550,000.
