St. Elizabeth halts Cape girls hoops’ win streak

LEWES, Del.- The St. Elizabeth Vikings ended one of the longest girls basketball winning streaks in the state on Saturday afternoon, defeating Cape Henlopen 59-50 in Lewes.

Bre’Nyah Mayo led St. E’s with a team-high 24 points in the victory, with Naia Pulliam (10 pts.) as her only other teammate in double figures.

For Cape, Abbey Hearn scored a game-high 25 points, while Dania Cannon chipped in with 9.

The loss end’s Cape’s 10 game winning streak, which had been the second longest active streak in the state.
