Slaughter House Farm closes its doors after five years

LAUREL, Del. – After five wonderful years we’re sad to report that slaughter house farm has decided to close it’s doors for good. The farm has been a favorite Halloween tradition for families and friends across Delmarva, and every year, thousands would wait in line to go through their popular haunted house. The owner, Terry Scott, took to Facebook on Wednesday and posted that the farm would not be reopening due to circumstances beyond their control. Despite the heartbreaking news, the community has supported the entire Scott family and shown them an immense amount of love.

“If there’s anything in life that I think that shows you anything is when you’re done and there’s nothing but good that comes back you’ve done what you’re supposed to do you really have and that is our reward,” said Scott.

The farm was also a big contributor to Operation We Care where they would donate a majority of their proceeds to the non-profit organization. Scott says that although the farm is closed they still encourage each and every person to continue to support the cause, and donate to the organization whenever possible.
