Single vehicle crash results in DUI charges for Delaware man

PITTSVILLE, Md. – Maryland State Police say a Georgetown man is facing DUI and other related charges after he reportedly crashed his vehicle early Sunday morning.

Troopers responded to the crash shortly after 1:30 AM, in the area of Gumboro Road and Rounds Road in Pittsville. Police say the driver, 22-year-old Ariel Morales Roblero, was traveling northbound on Gumboro Road when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the roadway, subsequently crossing the solid double yellow line and hitting a large tree adjacent to the roadway.

Further investigation revealed that Roblero was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. It was also learned that Roblero did not have a license.

Roblero was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, negligent/reckless driving, failure to keep right of center, and driving without a license. He was later released to the care of PRMC for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
