Shorebirds’ planter destroyed, looking for answers

SALISBURY, Md. – In Salisbury, the Delmarva Shorebirds are conducting an investigation of their own. That’s because when they pulled up to work Monday morning heading into the office, they were met with a destroyed planter.

We’re told somebody had plowed right through their planter and knocked the concrete baseball right off the flower bed. A baseball that ended up nearly 400 yards away from its original spot.

And now leadership is trying to piece it all together with the public’s help.

“We put out there if anybody knows anything we would give them four tickets and $100 in Bird Bucks to Opening Day this year just to have some fun. When something goes wrong, make light of it a little bit and have some fun with the fans and obviously you don’t like to see damage but you know it could be worse,” explains Shorebirds General Manager Chris Bitters.
