SHA closes US 113 in Snow Hill for road repairs
SNOW HILL, Md. – For those of you using Route 113 this weekend in Snow Hill, you may want to give yourself some extra time to get from point A to point B.
That’s because SHA is doing a complete closure to do some railway work and to finish up a little bit of the paving they need to do before the weather gets too difficult.
It’s all part of the big US-113 dualization project and this is actually the fourth and final phase. After this closure they’re one step closer to getting 113 from Pocomoke all the way up to the Delaware state line.
“The simplest way to say the detour is to go through Snow Hill. The detour route itself is signed using 113 Business and Route 12. It’s a very safe detour route and it’s one that we’ve commonly used when we’ve closed down 113,” explains SHA District Engineer Brett Deane.
They’re hoping the closure is only going to be up for 48 hours and should be up at the latest by Monday morning for rush-hour traffic.
