Seaford police searching for suspects in home invasion
SEAFORD, Del. – Police are searching for two suspects that held a homeowner at gunpoint Monday night. Shortly after 11:30 p.m., Seaford police made their way to the 400 block of Pine Street for a home invasion.
We’re told two unknown males made their way into one of the homes, one with a gun in hand demanding items from the owner. Even though a struggle did take place, no one was seriously injured and the two men fled the scene. Police say they are still on the run as of Tuesday evening.
Cpl. Eric Chambers says, “Well hopefully somebody that lives in one of these neighborhoods has home surveillance cameras so that they can allow us to look at them contact us and tell us if you have them or not. But also be on the look out for anything suspicious, you know, late at night normally there’s not a lot of people out walking around on the streets. If you see that just take a good note of what they look like, what they are wearing and call the police.”
Now police believe this was a targeted home invasion so there is no threat to the public.
If anyone knows any information regarding this incident you’re asked to call Seaford police at 302-629-6644.
