Salisbury woman facing drug charges following traffic stop

SALISBURY, Md. – Police say a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and drug paraphernalia earlier this week.

Shortly after 11 AM Monday, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle for speeding in the area of Salisbury Blvd at Zion Rd in Salisbury. Upon making contact with the occupants, the deputy immediately believed the passenger, identified as 23-year-old Fawn Glacken of Salisbury, was impaired by a controlled dangerous substance.

A K-9 scan of the vehicle generated a positive alert for the odor of illegal drugs, and a search of the vehicle was conducted as a result. Glacken was found to be in possession of crack cocaine as well as a smoking device.

Glacken was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on personal recognizance following an initial appearance.
