Salisbury men can’t complete comeback, fall to Frostburg
SALISBURY, Md- Despite a game high 21 points from Blair Davis, the SU men fell to Frostburg 97-86. The loss drops the Seagulls to 13-4 on the year.
Getting out to a 4-0 lead, the Frostburg Bobcats would lead up until the fifth minute when Decatur Gary Briddell would knock down a three on the right elbow. Salisbury would be 6 lead changes in the first half as the Bobcats won the half 47-38. Briddell and Frostburg’s Daniel Alexander would lead all scorers with 12 points each.
The second half started out as the same story as the Bobcats dominated the first three minutes getting out to a 15 point lead. After a Mike Ward three, the Gulls would start to catch fire. Salisbury would go on a 13-0 run to cut the lead to two but their magic would run out. A couple three’s from Edwin Cole would give the Bobcats a spark in the last six minutes as they end the Seagull comeback, getting them the 97-86 win.
Blair Davis led all scorers with 21 points along with 15 from Mike Ward, Gary Bridel and James Foley would pitch in 14 points each for the Gulls. For the Bobcats, Lawrence Pettis and Terry Kenner led the charge with 20 points each and Nick Johnson would pitch in 18 along with 17 from Daniel Alexander.
