Sean Adkins said, “Just seeing her come into the world after 12 a.m. on New Years Day I was just ecstatic.”

The Adkins family celebrated the New Year with a gift from the delivery stork!

Mom Corrie Akins says it all started with a trip to the doctor.

Adkins said, “I went to the doctor’s office because I had had high blood pressure. It kind of was a shock because they told me to go ahead and go over to the hospital and be induced.”

The Adkins family welcomed a healthy baby girl. Her name, Emery.

She arrived weighing seven pounds and five ounces.

Big sister Hayden tells us having a new baby sister is what she has always wanted.

She said, “It feels great! I was excited at first and I couldn’t wait when I found out!”

Dad Sean Adkins was shocked and overjoyed Emery’s two weeks early arrival.

He said, “I had no idea she was going to be a new years baby. I got a phone call around 2:30 p.m. New Years Eve and one thing lead to another. We went to the doctor and they said get right up to the hospital and here we are.”

Emery entered the world at exactly 12:43 a.m. New Years Day.

Sean Adkins said, “It’s a great feeling. She was so precious when she arrived.”

Adkins says there’s just no better feeling than welcoming a new child. “To look around and just know that my family has grown to be a family of four now I’m just a proud father.”
