UPDATE: Early morning warehouse fire deemed accidental
SALISBURY, Md. – Officials say an early morning warehouse fire in Salisbury has been ruled accidental.
The fire happened inside the Quality Linen Service building, located at 1751 Westwood Drive. We’re told that 60 firefighters from multiple departments were on scene, and it took just over an hour to control the fire.
Deputy State Fire Marshals determined that the fire began on the interior of the building, in the area of the commercial dryers. The fire was reportedly a result of spontaneous combustion of linens that have been identified as bar towels.
Fire damage was estimated at approximately 2 million dollars. No injuries were reported.
