Dover man arrested for reportedly making threats to Military Recruiting Center and Dover PD
DOVER, Del. – Officials arrested a Dover man after he reportedly threatened the Armed Forces Recruiting Center and then Dover Police.
On Tuesday, Dover Police received a report of a disorderly subject at the recruiting center, located in the Dover Commons shopping center. It was learned that 30-year-old Tyree Clark had allegedly made threats to staff members if he was not enlisted right away.
Later that afternoon, the Dover Police Dispatch Center received a call from Clark who told them that he was on his way to the police department to shoot the building.
Following the call, police located Clark, who was not found to be in possession of a firearm. He was taken into custody and taken for a medical and mental health evaluation as a result of the incident.
Police say that after he is released, he will be charged with three counts of terroristic threatening, and malicious interference with emergency communications.
