Delmar woman arrested following altercation

FRANKFORD, Del. – A verbal dispute that turned physical resulted in several charges for a Delmar woman Monday afternoon.

Delaware State Police were called to respond to the unit block of Green Street for a reported stabbing at around 1:30 PM. On arrival, police made contact with 22-year-old Michaela Scarborough, who was standing outside the home.

Officials then learned that Scarborough and her 26-year-old boyfriend had reportedly become engaged in an argument when Scarborough threatened the victim with a knife. The victim sustained cuts to his upper extremity, but declined medical treatment.

Police say a two-year-old child was also present in the home during the incident, but was not injured.

Scarborough was arrested and charged with possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, terroristic threatening, assault third degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and offensive touching. She was later released on $22,501 unsecured bond.
