Delaware man arrested on charges of attempted murder in Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – A Delaware man is facing attempted murder charges after police say he got into a car and ran over a former girlfriend on Tuesday in Salisbury.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the 28000 block of Quantico Road.

When police arrived a deputy reportedly found a woman in the driveway who was bleeding and suffering from significant injuries.

Investigators say the woman had gotten into a heated argument with a former boyfriend Kevin Gravenor, from Harbeson, when Gravenor got into his car and ran over her in the driveway.

The woman and witnesses on scene reportedly saw the 29-year-old man put the car in reverse and then backed over his former girlfriend a second time. According to witnesses, Gravenor then left the area at a high rate of speed.

The victim was taken to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center.

Reports say Gravenor was not found immediately after the incident. However, it was discovered that the man was believed to be in Delaware and had cut off an ankle monitor prior to coming to Salisbury.

Gravenor was eventually found and taken to Wicomico County to face charges in this case. He is currently being held without bond in the Detention Center.

The 29-year-old man is arrested on charges of Attempted First Degree Murder, Attempted Second Degree Murder, Assault First Degree and more.

We spoke with the family and friends of the victim Saturday, they say they have forgiven Gravenor, adding there is no hate, and that there was a lot that went on that night.
