Crabbers use strong defensive effort to top Bennett
The Crisfield Crabbers boys basketball team boasted over 10 steals and over 10 blocks in their 74-58 win over James M. Bennett in Salisbury on Tuesday night.
Justin Cohen finished with a game-high 26 points to lead the Crabbers, with teammate Rykell Waters knotting 17. Crisfield rattled off a 10-0 run before the end of the half, to take a 35-25 lead into the locker room.
Waters would spark a 7-0 run to begin the third featuring a three pointer and a fastbreak layup–stretching Crisfield’s lead to 17 not long past halftime. The Crabbers would finish off the Clippers over the remaining 15+ minutes.
Jarrell Spates had 15 points to lead the Clippers in the loss.
