Councilman Hardy Rudasill steps down from position
SALISBURY, Md. – A local council member is stepping down.
Councilman Hardy Rudasill announced his resignation at tonight’s council meeting, explaining that he has accepted a new position in Baltimore.
47 ABC is told that because of the distance from the city to Salisbury he will be unable to carry out his Salisbury City Council duties.
Mayor Day tells us Rudasill served his city well.
Mayor Day said, “He’s an advocate for his neighbors and an incredibly heard worker and he will be missed. He’ll continue to be an advocate for others in Baltimore in his new position.”
We’re told the city will look into appointing a new member to fill his spot in the coming weeks.
