Conclusion of drug investigation leads to charges for two Salisbury residents

SALISBURY, Md. – Two Salisbury residents have been arrested on multiple charges following a drug investigation.

Over the last several months, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division have been working on an investigation into the sale of cocaine from two apartments in the 500 block of Emory Court in Salisbury. Officials say a search and seizure warrant had been obtained for the two apartments, as well as for 38-year-old Travis Green, who was a suspect in the investigation.

Just after 4 AM on December 15th, members of the Salisbury City Police Department’s Tac Team, along with members of the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit, entered the two apartments without incident to execute the warrant. Green and his girlfriend, 23-year-old An’shanae Peterson were found asleep in the bedroom.

Officials seized the following items as a result of the warrant:

  • 87.88 grams of marijuana
  • 17.1 grams of cocaine
  • 39.35 grams of crack cocaine
  • 33.2 grams of blue heroin (suspected fentanyl blend)
  • 69.5 grams of heroin (total heroin = 102.7 grams)
  • $1,099 in cash
  • Two digital scales
  • Cocaine/heroin aluminum press
  • Loaded .38 cal special revolver
  • Numerous rounds of ammunition
  • Sandwich baggies
  • Two cell phones, which helped in furthering the investigation

Green and Peterson were both arrested and are currently being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center without bond. They each face numerous drug and firearms charges.
