Christian shelter providing snow storm safe place

SALISBURY, Md. – We’re expecting some snow on the shore this weekend, and that means dangerous conditions for those without a place to stay.

If you’re looking for a last minute spot to stay warm and safe from frigid temps, we’re told shelters in our area will provide basic needs.

The Christian shelter says they’re providing hot meals, beds, and a safe place to stay during the storm.

They say they’ve seen an uptick in people coming to get warm due to dropping temps, so much so that all their single room spots have been taken.

Assistant administrator at the Christian Shelter said, “We have family rooms. We have separate rooms for families with their own bathroom and shower. Right now I have five family rooms available.”

Another organization that’s helping those in need this winter is the Atlantic Methodist Church.

We’re told they’re giving out free meals tomorrow January 11th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The homeless outreach team at the Worcester county health department will also help.
