Cambridge house fire: $110,000 in damages

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Crews say a boiler malfunction caused $110,000 worth of damage to a home, Tuesday morning.

Firefighters from Cambridge, Hurlock, Secretary and East New Market Fire departments responded to Fairmount Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. It took 65 firefighters about an hour to control the blaze.

Investigators say the home’s boiler, inside a utility closet, wasn’t working properly and caused the fire.
