Berlin receives $75,000 stormwater grant for upcoming project
BERLIN, Md. – In Berlin, the coolest small town recently received a$75,000 grant that’s expected to help with the town’s storm water project. Officials say the upcoming project, also known as the Graham Avenue Project, will lead to the construction of a submerged gravel wetland on Graham Avenue. They say the grant money will provide funding for public outreach and community engagement about the project and other stormwater issues. And residents in the area say it’s important that the town continues to take their opinions and concerns into consideration.
“It think it’s really important because if there’s any kind of road closures or anything with people who live here especially I live here and work here it’s nice to know what’s going on and I think its great for the town to keep up with any kind of problems that we do have,” said resident Larnet St. Amant.
Officials add that the project is expected to be completed by September 1st 2019.
