Women dress in black and bling to raise thousands for local non-profits

SALISBURY, Md. –  It was a true women’s night at Evolution Craft Brewery as they held its annual Black and Bling event Wednesday night.

This sold out event benefits over half a dozen local non-profits, including Women Supporting Women, Coastal Hospice, United Way and The Salvation Army.

The highlight of the event is the tree and wreaths decorated by designers and sold off, with 100 percent of those proceeds benefiting the charities.

“We have twelve different local vendors, we’re not just supporting local charities, we’re supporting local business women,” said event coordinator Carol Morris.

We’re told this event has raised about $30,000 over the past five years, they expect to raise over $5,000 this year.
