Winterfest of Lights offers a new attraction this year
OCEAN CITY, Md. – Winterfest of Lights, now in it’s 26th year, attracts visitors from near and far each year for a 12 minute ride through a winter wonderland of lights set up at Northside Park.
In total, over 400 lights set up on on roughly 50 acres of land help make this experience one that people keep coming back for.
This year, there is a new attraction: programmable lighting on their 50 foot Christmas tree.
Frank Miller, a Special Events Supervisor for the Town of Ocean City said, “This year, we put it all to music. So when you come to Winterfest this year, the tree itself is a spectacular attraction and actually plays Christmas music and lights synchronize with the Christmas music itself.”
The Ocean City Winterfest of Lights is open from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
The cost to get in is just 5 dollars for guests 12 years and older and free for everyone 11 and younger.
