Wesley women’s hoops hangs on to down Bryn Athyn

The Wesley College women’s basketball team improved to 3-6 on the season, defeating Bryn Athyn College 53-50 on Saturday afternoon in Wentworth Gym in Dover.

Sophomore forward Shayla Johnson poured in a career high 26 points for the Wolverines in the victory, and was aided by teammate Stacey O’Neale- who was the only other Wolverine in double-digits scoring with 13.

For Bryn Athyn, Allie Warren poured in 20 points, including 6 three pointers. Center Lauren Beck finished with 10 points and grabbed 20 rebounds, and Clayshonia Cogman finished with 11.
