Washington’s major second half comeback shocks Pocomoke

PRINCESS ANNE, MD- Washington comes back down 10 points at half to shock Pocomoke 75-55 behind 17 points from Aiden Horsey.

The Warriors still looking for their first win of the season, came into Washington high hungry for the victory. Hot in the first half, Pocomoke went into the break up 41-30 behind 20 points from junior Charles Finney III and 7 from Joseph Collins. Sherard Fells kept the Jag’s in this one with ten first half points.

In the second half, the Jaguars woke up. Getting turnover after turnover, Washington was able to cut the deficit to 52-51 to end the third quarter . Carrying the momentum into the 4th, the Jags outscored Pocomoke 24-3 to end the game. Aiden Horsey had 16 in the second half for Washington along with 16 game points from Fells to propel them to the 75-55 comeback win.

Washington will look to get win number 3 on the year when they travel to Kent Island after the holiday break on January third. Pocomoke still searching for their first win of the year will host Parkside also on January third.
