UMES artists paint Black Panther mural on downtown business

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – It’s Wakanda forever in Princess Anne. On Monday, a huge mural of T’Challa, the Blank Panther was installed by the UMES art club Envision on the side of the Price Cutter store.

We’re told the store owner volunteered to have the artwork put up there and is more than excited to have it. Meanwhile the students are hoping the artwork will help connect both the college and the town.

“We want to build that bridge and hopefully this mural alone brings more murals to Princess Anne and more artwork to Princess Anne as a whole because I think the fact that we were able to this is one step towards great change,” explains CJ Washington, of UMES Envision.

This mural is a combination of 16 different pieces put together by about a dozen or so artists from UMES.
