Third Friday shows off local shops, new SWAC building

SALISBURY, Md. –  Third Friday was held indoors this month, as shops and organizations were getting folks in the Christmas spirit.

Shops across downtown were decked out in holiday decor, as they tried to entice shoppers with Christmas deals.

But for the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council, this was a night to show off their new building and show people what they do.

“By having Third Friday, we’re hoping that people will start coming to our swaccy happy hours, but we also hope they’ll come back to Third Fridays,” said Therese Hamilton, the executive director of the Salisbury Wicomico Art Council. “We want to have art vendors out front of our building, and have them indoors all the time on Third Fridays.”

If you missed out, the next Third Friday will be held outdoors in April, the theme for that month will be Think Spring.
