State Police investigating multiple vandalism complaints in Sussex County

GEORGETOWN, Del. –  The Delaware State Police are asking for your help to identify the suspects involved in vandalizing nearly a dozen homes and cars across Sussex County. Officials say over the weekend within the span of two days they’ve handled eleven vandalism complaints in the Georgetown, Millsboro, Frankford, and Dagsboro areas. They add that the suspects are using what appears to be white marbles fired with a slingshot causing damage to house windows, car windows, and siding. And residents in Sussex County say they’re concerned that those involved have yet to be caught.

“I feel that we can’t have anything outside overnight. I’m a middle school teacher so I kind of know that this kind of goes on especially with young adults they see it as something that’s funny and they don’t take things into consideration,” said Georgetown resident Allen Pepper.

State Police add that regardless of the situation, circumstance or location, if you observe any type of suspicious activity make sure to report it. And if you have any tips regarding these vandalism incidents you can call Troop 4 with the Delaware State Police at 302-856-5850.
