Somerset County Historical Trust seeks funding assistance

SOMERSET COUNTY, Md. – The Somerset County Historical Trust is asking for funds to help preserve historical pieces of property. For the first time, they are creating a crowdfunding campaign.

We’re told in order to start working on other projects, they need money.

They’ve saved homes such as the Brittingham House and the Cottman-Pinkett House.

Usually when the historical trust gets a hold of these buildings, they are in disrepair but they are able to bring them back to life.

We’re told donations from community members are crucial to continue saving more historic pieces. Often times when a property becomes available, the Historical Trust needs to act quickly and by having those funds available, it is crucial.
