UPDATE: Victim identified in single vehicle fatal accident in Milford

MILFORD, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal single vehicle crash that happened early Wednesday morning.

Police say that around 5:30 AM, a 2016 Kia Forte traveling eastbound on Shawnee Road near the intersection of DuPont Boulevard failed to maintain their lane twice, striking a utility pole the second time the vehicle exited the roadway.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as 54-year-old Timothy A. Hogan of Greenwood, was reportedly not wearing his seat belt. He was taken to Milford Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The crash remains under investigation.
