Salisbury University celebrates 93rd Fall Commencement
SALISBURY, Md. – It’s an exciting day for over 700 graduates and their families, as they walked across the stage for Salisbury University’s 93rd Fall Commencement.
This was the first commencement led by Dr. Charles Wight, who became the university’s 9th president in July.
Among undergraduates, 606 students received their Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts. 107 students received their Master’s Degree.
On Wednesday, 47 ABC joined the festivities and spoke to several graduates who are thankful for their SU experience.
Zoe Siers says, “My parents went here and now my grandad graduated from here, my brother did, so it was very special to carry on the tradition and now I’m the very last Siers in our family to graduate so it’s pretty special.”
Master’s graduate, Danielle Brandt, tells us, “Being able to get my degree has allowed me to have options to progress in the military and so no this will allow me to commission as a Navy social worker which I wouldn’t been able to do before if I didn’t have a Master’s.”
Both graduates tell 47 ABC that their experience at Salisbury University was special and that they are excited for the future.
