Salisbury Sears store to close its doors in March

SALISBURY, Md. – The Sears located in the Centre at Salisbury is one of 80 additional Sears and Kmart store closures announced by Sears Holdings on Friday.

According to the company, employees at the stores set to close were notified on Thursday.

Sears Holdings filed for bankruptcy back in October, and since then have announced the closure of more than 260 of its 700 stores nationwide.

Earlier this year, the Kmart Store located at Route 50 and Tilghman Road in Salisbury closed down.

The Salisbury Sears store is slated to close in March. The adjacent Sears Auto Center is scheduled to close in late January.
