Salisbury man sentenced in 2016 armed robbery of Salisbury bank

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man is facing 70 years behind bars for his role in a December 2016 bank robbery.

On November 30th, 29-year-old Hakeem Wrightout was sentenced to 70 years in the Division of Corrections, following his conviction on a total of 56 counts, including five counts of armed robbery and five counts of use of handgun in the commission of felony.

On December 9th, 2016, shortly before 6 PM, five masked individuals entered the Bank of Delmarva on Eastern Shore Drive in Salisbury. The suspects then reportedly ordered bank employees to the ground at gun point and restrained three of the bank tellers with zip ties. The suspects then stole more than $11,000 in cash from the bank, along with some personal property from bank employees.

Police were able to recover all of the stolen money and most of the stolen personal items.
