Salisbury ice skating rink opens for the holidays
SALISBURY, Md. – Some people chose to enjoy today’s snow in Salisbury by skating at the recently opened ice rink located at the Pohanka Riverwalk Amphitheater.
According to Mayor Jake Day, the ice rink is a chance for families to come out and enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown.
The ice rink will be opened every weekend in December leading up to Christmas.
To get on the ice visitors pay $5 dollars for a pair of skates.
But, if visitors have their own, they can skate free of charge.
“Come skate!” said Day.
“We rent skates here for $5 dollars and otherwise if you bring your own skates it’s free to skate and we encourage families to come down,” said Day.
The ice rink will be open during the weekends from noon to 4:30 PM.
