Road closed on Rt. 50 due to serious crash

BERLIN, Md.– Maryland State Police are currently investigating a serious two car crash that sent one person to the hospital.

Investigators say a 22 year old female ran a red light near Racetrack Road. Police believe she was distracted and ended up T-boning another vehicle.

Police say a 54 year old female passenger in the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Racetrack Road was shut down for almost an hour.

Police are still investigating the crash.
