Reynolds’ three gives Tech second straight Gov. Challenge bracket championship

SALISBURY, Md.- A Devon Reynolds three with less than 20 seconds to go gave Sussex Tech their second straight Governor’s Challenge bracket championship, 61-59 over Walt Whitman.

The Ravens would have an eight point lead at half, but watched it turn to a 12 point deficit in the Vikes favor.

Reynolds, who finished with 26 points and five rebounds, dropped six threes including the what would be game-winner.

Whitman would have a chance to send things in overtime at the buzzer, but a Brendan Shaver shot fell short.

Behind Reynolds was Skylar Johnson who finished with 16 pints, six rebounds and four assists.

For the Vikes, Jason Lewis finished with a team-high 18, followed by Rodrigo Ruiz who dropped a 12 point double-double.
